Frequently asked questions
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The Free plan is completely free forever. Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial — no card needed until you decide to continue.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You can export all your invoices, contacts, and reports as CSV at any time. Your data is retained for 90 days after cancellation so you can re-subscribe without losing anything.
Is my banking data secure?
Yes. Fynmerge uses Open Banking (regulated under PSD2) — we never see your bank credentials. Read-only bank access is granted via your bank's own consent flow and can be revoked at any time.
What does "MTD-ready" mean?
Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax starts in April 2026 for sole traders and landlords earning over £50,000. Fynmerge tracks your quarterly obligations and will support direct HMRC submission when the mandate applies to you.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes — upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the next billing cycle.
