Cookie Policy

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how pages are used. Fynmerge uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage) on our website and web application.
The cookies we use
We group our cookies into four categories:
- Strictly necessary. These are required for the platform to function. They include session authentication tokens, CSRF protection, and load-balancer stickiness. You cannot opt out of these.
- Functional. These remember your preferences — such as your chosen billing cycle, dashboard layout, and notification settings — so you don't have to re-enter them on each visit.
- Analytics. We use privacy-first analytics (no personal data is sold or shared) to understand which features are used most and where users encounter problems. This data is aggregated and cannot identify you individually.
- Marketing. If you reach Fynmerge via a partner link or advertisement, a cookie records that referral so we can measure campaign effectiveness. We do not build individual advertising profiles or share this data with ad networks.
How long do cookies last?
Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies last between 30 days and 12 months depending on their purpose — authentication cookies expire after 30 days of inactivity, while analytics cookies may persist for up to 12 months.
Third-party cookies
Some of our third-party services may set their own cookies. These include our Open Banking provider (TrueLayer), our payment processor (Stripe), and our error-monitoring service. Each of these providers has its own privacy and cookie policy; we encourage you to review them.
Managing your preferences
You can control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies at any time. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or using the platform. You can also adjust your analytics and marketing preferences in your Fynmerge account settings under Privacy & Data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app banner at least 14 days before they take effect.
